What is Water Resistant?
The most important thing is that water resistant is not waterproof. Water resistant means that it is difficult for water to get into your phone. What is Water Repellent?
If your phone is water repellent, it means a thin layer has been applied to your smartphone, which will not let water get inside the phone. In phones, this layer is applied on both the inside and outside. For this most companies make hydrophobic surfaces and get rid of them.

If the company claims that your phone is waterproof, it means the phone will be safe in water. Such phones can also be used in water. Photography can also be done in the water.
